About home care

What is non-medical home care?

Non-medical home care is practical, everyday support provided in a person’s home. It includes help with personal care, companionship, household tasks, supervision, and respite for family caregivers. It does not include clinical or skilled medical services such as nursing care, wound care, or administering injections.

Who can receive home care?

Home care can help older adults, people living with disabilities, people recovering at home, and anyone who would benefit from extra support to live safely and comfortably at home. The best way to know whether our services are a good fit is to talk with us.

Does AnchorPoint provide personal care?

Yes. Our caregivers can assist with bathing, dressing and grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility and standby assistance, medication reminders, and other activities of daily living—always with respect for privacy and dignity.

Does AnchorPoint offer HCBS services?

We offer HCBS independent living supports, including Individualized Home Supports (IHS), assistance developing and maintaining daily routines, support with independent living, and community participation. Availability of any HCBS service depends on the client’s program authorization and whether AnchorPoint is enrolled to provide that specific service.

Payment & eligibility

Does AnchorPoint accept Minnesota Medical Assistance?

Services may be available through eligible Minnesota Medical Assistance (Medicaid) and HCBS programs when the client has the appropriate authorization and AnchorPoint is enrolled to provide the specific service. Because eligibility depends on individual circumstances and program rules, we’ll talk through your situation during your consultation. Private pay is also available.
